How do you handle disappointment?
One of the classic objections to belief in God is this question:
If God is real, why is there so much evil in the World?
For many Christians, getting offended at things other people say and do is a full time occupation. It’s also a shortcut to poor health, and even worse, it’s the complete opposite of what sons & daughters of God are supposed to look like.
Why is most of the western Church so powerless, seeing so few miracles on a regular basis? The answer is found in our failure to deal righteously with our disagreements and differing opinions.
Why does the New Testament only speak of “sons” and not “sons & daughters?” Is this just another example of sexism in the scriptures, or are there actually compelling reasons for describing God’s children in this way? Let’s talk about it…
