Gary, Russ and a couple of friends share their thoughts on what God is saying for 2017 on this episode of Strategic Insights.
Kingdom of God
In Romans 8:19 Paul writes, “For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing [or manifestation] of the sons of God.” Paul saw this as a Last Day event, when Jesus returns and we are given our new immortal bodies.
But what if there’s something more here? What if we get to see and participate in something amazing by “pulling into” our day an experience most think is reserved for another time? Discover the scriptural precedent for this and learn what it means for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed now.
One of the oft repeated slogans of the 2016 presidential campaign was “drain the swamp!” Those promoting it were advocating for a complete removal of corruption, influence peddling, etc. in the U.S. Federal Government.
Surprisingly, this concept is as old as the Bible… but when God drains the swamp, what does that look like? What changes are happening in the Church as God begins to deal with inflexible leadership, moribund religious traditions and other irrelevant man-made structures? And most importantly, what will the Church look like when He’s done?
There is a Kingdom whose influence and rule far exceeds that of any other government on the face of the earth. And though every born-again believer has been given access into this realm, most are truly unaware of its magnitude and power, having only passing acquaintance with it as a theological doctrine instead of a living reality.
Now, especially in this season of fever-pitched reactions to all things political, it is crucial for every Christian to know that their true foundation is in the Kingdom of God… which cannot be stopped, outlawed, shut down, or otherwise trifled with.
On this episode of Strategic Insights, we talk about what God’s government looks like, and how we can absolutely experience life under the benevolent rule of the greatest, good King of the universe.
There’s so much talk these days about rigged elections. Many Christians believe that God DOES “rig the elections” because He chooses who will rule over a nation or people. But is that true? As a Christian, does your vote even matter if God is calling all the shots?
The United States Federal Government has ceased to be a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Instead, it has become the equivalent of a State-sponsored religion that imposes its beliefs, values, morals, and laws on us the citizens. To add insult to injury, the very people we elect to represent us, along with the judges they appoint, have now become the hypocritical Pharisees who benefit from this arrangement, and work to enforce it at every turn.
How do we confront this mess? Jesus had some things to say to the Pharisees of His day, and we explore the truth and wisdom He offers for us today.
Who was this brave woman who boldly took to the streets and alleyways to proclaim the word of the Lord? What did she accomplish that forever changed the lives of those who heeded her call and found the freedom God created them to enjoy? And why is her story SO important for us here in this 21st century?
Join us as we examine a powerful prophetic dream that takes place in a Roman village, where an angel of God was encountered speaking and ministering to people… in a bedroom.
What could this possibly mean for the future of the Church?
What can you do when your gifts or passion are rejected by the very people you thought would support you? For most people, their desire to function in their gifts, anointing or calling is often met with resistance or outright rejection by church leaders.
Let’s talk about how to overcome this kind of situation, so you can experience the freedom that is yours in Christ to serve God and His people fully.
